A new paper published in IEEE Software

August 30, 2012 in News

A new paper, “Where’s the Theory for Software Engineering?“,  by  Pontus Johnson, Mathias Ekstedt, and Ivar Jacobson is published in IEEE Software September/October 2012. This paper drew the analogy of Maxwell’s equations in the subject of electrical engineering and Domino theory to “What is software engineering theory?”.  The paper first lists three arguments of why the software engineering community seems so uninterested in discussing its theories, and then the authours explain why they consider these three arguments are not valid.
